Instructions for translators

Hello and Thank You for Contributing

This Weblate instance is configured to automatically create pull requests every 24 hours. So after you translate some strings into your language, you just have to wait until Weblate automatically creates a pull request to Wavelog's main repository.

If you want to add a new language just write an email to translations@wavelog.org

Some Rules:

  • Don't use URLs in the translations.

  • Stick to the given format, especially with spaces and other special characters.

  • IMPORTANT: Never use double quotes (") in translations. This can cause serious issues in our case.

For more detailed information about the underlaying code refer to the wiki article about translations.

Thank you very much for helping to translate Wavelog.

Dear Contributors,

On Sunday, August 24th, 2025, we will publish the next major release of Wavelog. It would be wonderful if we could finalize a few more translations by then so they can be included in the release. If you have time, we would really appreciate your help translating until tomorrow. Only chinese is missing! :-)

Für Deutsch bitte folgende Dinge beachten:

  1. Wir verwenden das Informal. "Du" statt "Sie"
  2. Verwendet die LibreTranslate mit Bedacht und überlegt euch, ob die Vorschläge Sinn machen im Bezug auf Amateurfunk, etc. Nicht immer sind hier die Übersetzungen auch der Umgangssprache entsprechend.
